Respond from Warner Bastards!

"Many of you have written to me to express your disappointment in our moving “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” to Summer 2009. Please be assured that we share your love for Harry Potter and would certainly never do anything to hurt any of the films. Over the past 10 years, we have nurtured and protected each film, and the integrity of the books upon which they are based, to the best of our ability. The decision to move “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” was not taken lightly, and was never intended to upset our Harry Potter fans. We know you have built this series into what it is, and we thank you for your ongoing enthusiasm and support. If I may offer a silver lining: there would have been a two-year gap between “Half-Blood Prince” and the much-anticipated first part of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” which opens in November 2010. So although we have to wait a little longer for “Half-Blood Prince,” the wait from that film until “Deathly Hallows” will be less than 18 months. I am sorry to have disappointed you now, but if you hold on a little longer, I believe it will be worth the wait."

Bloody piece of crappy bullshit! Do you see it? Do you?

1. They completely avoid mentioning the money, which they have said before are the real reason. Maybe they have realised it only served to make us fans more pissed?
2. "Please be assured that we share your love for Harry Potter and would certainly never do anything to hurt any of the films." Yeah. Right. They wouldn't do anything to hurt the films. Of course you wouldn't, why hurt the things you make millions from? But what about the fans? NEWSFLASH: You're hurting them. A lot.
3. "The integrity of the books"? Haha! Please, when you compress the largest book into the shortest film, ignore characters that could have made the movies so much better than they already are (yes, you heard me, they are excellent, that's what makes this all so sad!), when you've got the same budget as the Lord of the Rings movies had, possibly even more, and could make longer movies but don't 'cause you want to keep the money in your already full wallets, when you remove Dumbledore's burial from Half-Blood Prince, making me want to cry and kill you all just because Dumbledore is who he is, and he deserves a proper goodbye. Talk about keeping the integrity. The best of your "ability" isn't much.
4. You never intended to upset Harry Potter-fans? Wow... I'm almost speechless. Then what did you think you were doing in delaying the movie for eight months? Even Crabbe and Goyle could have figured out that that wouldn't make us particulary happy.
5. "Ongoing enthusiasm and support"? You sure haven't seen the plans everyone is having about boycotting you, have you?
6. That is not a silver lining. Just wanted you to know.
7. "I am sorry to have disappointed you now, but if you hold on a little longer, I believe it will be worth the wait." Yeah, just wait. For ELEVEN bloody MONTHS.

Sorry, but this just can't be true. It can't. I'm sitting here, crying my eyes out, and I'm not even sad, just so damn angry. But I know one thing, and I'm bloody proud of it, that Warner Bastards published this for a reason. They want us to stop complaining, they are getting annoyed and tries to make themselves sound less bad. We now know they are reading out complaints, they are aware of how angry we are about this. Are they getting afraid of losing us and the money we give them? I don't know, and I don't really care, although it would be wonderful. All I know and care about is that we are actually getting to them. I can not stress enough how important it is for us, right now, to keep our protests going, in fact, it has never been more important. They couldn't avoid hearing us anymore. Now we just have to make even more noise.

Scream like a Mandrake.
